Weekly Photo Challenge

Horizon. The space or line where the sky meets the earth. So many places where the sky meets the earth around the world, and millions of interactions between two elements. It can be water, a city skyline, a forest, a wasteland, a desert, a sunset outside your bedroom window. Is there a particular horizon which speaks to you?

Hello dear friends

Well, today I’ve come home from the beach and found that the Weekly Photo Challenge is about the ‘HORIZON.’ Now, this is very timely as I have been surrounded by views on the horizon where we were staying at ‘The Broadwater’ which is only about 5 kilometers before  the internationally famous beach of Surfers Paradise.

Surfers’ as the locals call it, is full of high-rise apartments and all along the coast an incredible surf just keeps rolling in. They call the coastline here ‘The Gold Coast.’ There is also a saying about life here in Sunny Queensland: “Beautiful one day … perfect the next.”

Therefore, from our vantage point at the Broadwater Tourist Park, one can see views off on the HORIZON of the high-rise buildings which make Surfers such a fabulous place. Here are some of the photos I took which say to me: HORIZON and make The Gold Coast a very special place for me.

Geoff and I went walking through a park which took us along the Broadwater. As we followed the concrete path. everywhere we turned we could see the high-rise buildings of Surfers Paradise off in the distance.

This one is taken looking north to Labrador and not Surfers. Fewer high-rise apartments but a nice HORIZON regardless. Taken from the park.
