“_____ is the new _____.” There’s your post title. Now write!
Hello dear friends
Today it is time for a bit of fun and I am ready to accept a new challenge too. I’ve also won another Award but more about that tomorrow. For today folks: show us NONSENSE!
Therefore in keeping with the rules above, I went to a favourite blog /fivemsblog.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/a-day-in-the-life-of-the-mmmmm-family-monday/ and there I found my words.
“My days are mostly spent at playgroups at the supermarket or at the hospital.
To start, have you heard the saying lately regarding age: “sixty is the new fifty?” You can put any age in here and make it the “new 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or eighty’. In other words, anyone turning sixty now behaves like those who are fifty. whereas years ago those turning sixty thought their lives were over and did nothing except wait for death. Times have now changed folks!
Well, I think the sentence that I have to work with could be the same … for example:
“Mostly is the new hospital” means that anyone who thought HOSPITAL was the place to go for medical and surgical treatment, are now discovering that, instead of going to hospital, you can go to ‘MOSTLY’. And where do you go when you go to MOSTLY?
You go to that place where you MOSTLY go eg. the movies, the theatre, church, the pub, the beach or even shopping. You do realise I am being silly here don’t you? I don’t want any person reading this post to think for one moment, that anyone who is very ill should go to the beach for treatment.
Although, come to think of it, I’d love that idea myself … and here’s another thought that has just come to me: wouldn’t the world be wonderful if life was that simple? You know what I mean? If, when you were ill, all you had to do was go to the place that you MOSTLY go to on a regular basis … to find healing?
Let’s go dreaming for a moment and imagine a place like that …
Oh, how wonderful it would be! That ‘MOSTLY’ place would have the power to heal, to soothe the soul, to make fractures miraculously mend, to fix burns or to take X-Rays and even operate without leaving a drop of blood or a scar. I think all of us would love a place like that.
In fact, if a political party came up with a promise to close all hospitals and make healing compulsory at all places that one MOSTLY goes to, everyone would vote for that party! Political parties that disagreed would close down. There would be no rubbish spoken by politicians any longer because they would have come up with the one promise that no one could resist.
And just say if this same political party had the power to actually deliver on this promise, money would be saved, lives would be enriched and happiness would pervade the atmosphere. Pollyanna herself, would be pleased with it! In fact, she might be the very one who could escape from one of her novels to come and save this world of ours, which witnesses far too much cancer, sickness and suffering.
What then would we do with all the time that we’d have available as life became sweeter and easier? We could help the poor, find accommodation for the homeless, find jobs for the unemployed; we would have all the energy in the world to do whatever needed to be done.
So, there you have it dear friends: ‘MOSTLY is the new HOSPITAL’
I am sure I am like a lot of people who have come to hate the word HOSPITAL because of our own experience or that of friends and relatives who have been there. No one, wants to end their days in a hospital. But folks, EVERYONE wants to end their days doing MOSTLY want they love to do.
So, in a twist that comes to mind as I write, just say if we were to MOSTLY do what we love to do as often as we can, perhaps we would be more likely to avoid the HOSPITAL in our old age. So, concentrate on doing your ‘MOSTLYS’ MOST of the time and life will be sweeter and kinder to you. You will be happier.
And then, if you do have to go to that HOSPITAL at any time, it will be MOSTLY good because you have attended to your MOSTLYS MOST of the time!
